Lisa Javornick - Founder and Director

After graduating from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Lisa found herself with a one-way ticket to Los Angeles, establishing herself as assistant photographer/stylist to Jack Anderson, accomplished commercial photographer. Working alongside Jack, Lisa assisted on various national campaigns with clients such as Giorgio and Neutrogena.

With a growing passion, Lisa established her own digital photography studio in LA -  with clients such as Memorex, TDK, American Racing and start-up e-commerce site - cooking.com.

Upon returning to Pittsburgh, Lisa purchased a historical building which was established in 1894 and originally built as a place to congregate and celebrate. Lisa could see the potential as it had been neglected for over 30 years. With her love of old buildings not only did she create a perfect space to call home for Javo Studios, she has also brought it full circle as an event space.

With a passion for photography and architectural design, along with her acute business acumen—Lisa radiates a creative force that leads her throughout every aspect of her life.

Balancing more than one thing at a time, Chelsea makes her “jack-of-all-trades” persona look absolutely seamless. She’s a strong force, and tackles every project that comes through the door with confidence.

Hector

Hector Corante - Senior Photographer / Digital Asset Manager

A native of Orange County, CA, Hector's portfolio made him the perfect fit for our studio. He’s a top performer with solid technical skills and an eye for detail—yet some how we got so much more! With extensive experience in architectural projects, as well as models and product, Hector always delivers creative images that show our client projects in the best light.

Once the last frame is finished, you can find Hector cruising around in one of his vintage German sports cars. He may even be coming from Robert Morris University, where he teaches photography in the Media Arts department.

We’re always thrilled to have Hector back at Javo Studios, joining us on our retail and e-commerce projects.

Brock Kawana - Photographer

In 2012, Brock needed to complete a summer internship to receive his Bachelor’s degree in Photography. As fate would have it, he found Javo Studios and ended up growing himself within the company. With his sheer focus and the mindset of doing whatever it takes, he ultimately gained himself the hard earned title of Photographer.

After mastering the title of photographer, he began to specialize in portrait photography from engagements to newborns, creating a style all of his own. He has freelanced with several companies around Pittsburgh including Rue 21, American Eagle, and has been published in Whirl Magazine.

When Brock decided to tie-the-knot with his college sweetheart, he chose to use our event space for the big day. The studio was transformed into an impeccable setting where he would exchange his vows and then celebrate. As his family grows, Brock now holds his most coveted job title of all - Dad.

 Shari Madison - Project Manager

You might imagine there’s a member of the Javo Studios team that works behind the scenes. That person would be Shari—an accomplished multi-tasker charged with creating budgets, developing logistics, along with keeping projects moving to deliver on-time and on-budget.

From her time working in Los Angeles for Mattel and Canon to agencies on accounts such as Taco Bell, Mercedes and Nissan, Shari is always in full motion as our project manager. Her ability to gather our team, execute each project directive and still make sure there’s a delicious spread for our shoot days is quite the treat!

When not managing our next project, her personal nirvana takes place through her foreign travels. Her love for ancient architecture and culture has ushered her to many parts of the world from Columbia, Italy, Bhutan and Sri Lanka to name a few. She looks forward to continue traveling and sharing her adventures upon return.
